Job Title: Cashier & Server - BBQ Food Truck
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking individual to join our BBQ food truck team as a Cashier & Server. In this role, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, serving food, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and be passionate about delivering great food experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cashier Duties:
- Greet customers, take food orders, and handle cash/card transactions.
- Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately.
- Provide customers with receipts and ensure correct change is given.
- Handle refunds, discounts, and promotions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized cash register area.
- Serving Duties:
- Serve BBQ food to customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ensure food is presented neatly and meets quality standards.
- Help prepare or package food as needed during busy times.
- Monitor stock levels for food, beverages, and supplies.
- Assist with cleaning duties, including wiping down surfaces and disposing of trash.
- Customer Service:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
- Answer any questions about the menu and make recommendations as needed.
- Address customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with the food truck team to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with opening and closing the food truck as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or team leader.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service, cashiering, or food service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
