RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepare our dishes from scratch following the recipe to produce consistent results
-Know and comply with standard cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen practices
-Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
-Portion all products, follow recipes and always ensure the plate presentation is aesthetically pleasing
-Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
-Follow safety and sanitation standards, make sure workstations stay clean and organized and follow all food handling standards
-Adhere to food service safety and sanitation guidelines as required by State and Local Agencies
REQUIREMENTS
-1+ years of cooking experience in an upscale or fine-dining high volume establishment
-Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and ownership of the position
-Detail oriented with strong communication skills
-Team oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
-Basic understanding of recipe preparation, cooking and knife handling skills
-Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
-Continuous reaching, bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
-Certified for food service as required by State and Local Agencies
