The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and highly organized Activity Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading a diverse range of engaging activities and events. From crafting and fitness classes to musical performances and community outings, you will be the driving force behind a lively and resident-focused social calendar.

Key Responsibilities

- Program Development: Design and implement a monthly calendar of activities that caters to the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of our residents.

- Event Coordination: Organize special events and holiday celebrations.

- Resident Engagement: Actively encourage and assist residents to participate in activities, building meaningful relationships and fostering a sense of community.

- Resource Management: Manage the budget for activities and maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure seamless integration of activities with resident care plans.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

- A passion for working with and a genuine interest in the lives of seniors.

- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an assisted living, long-term care, or senior center environment.

- Exceptional creativity, organizational, and time management skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and energetic personality.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with a variety of activity types (e.g., arts and crafts, music, games, physical activities).
