Small, assisted living facility for individuals with neurodiversity and special needs is seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Attendants to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with special needs, helping them live fulfilling and independent lives in a safe and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
Engage residents in activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and enjoyment.
Monitor residents’ health and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
Support meal preparation, feeding, and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
Assist with housekeeping duties.
Maintain the cleanliness of the house, including deep cleaning tasks.
Provide emotional support and respond to residents’ needs promptly and compassionately.
Document care provided and maintain accurate records.
Follow all facility policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Reliable Transportation.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts.
Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform housekeeping tasks.
Must pass criminal background check.
Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with special needs preferred, but not required.
Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
Details:
Full-time position with 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM), 3 days a week.
