Our growing outpatient-based medical practice is seeking Medical Office Specialists, who have experience in both Medical Assistant and Front Desk duties.
Immediate opening. Full-time & Part-Time Positions considered.
Primary duties include but not limited to: taking vital signs, administering injections, entering patient information in our electronic medical record system, preparing the treatment and exam rooms, administering diagnostic testing and assisting a physician in the exam room. Answering phones, scheduling patients, check-in/check-out, collecting payments, performing insurance verifications, maintaining patient records, providing additional administrative support for the practice, maintaining reception area, rooming patients, data entry, and other duties as required.
Applicants must be knowledgeable in/and follow all HIPAA and HITECH regulations, and have excellent communications skills. We are looking for a team player who is honest and dependable, as well as super friendly to our patients. Only those with prior experience or training as a Medical Assistant will be considered.
Preference will be given with following skills:
-Certified MA
-Front office experience and extensive knowledge of Insurance Verification
-Basic computer knowledge and experience in using electronic medical records
-Friendly, energetic, and dependable personality
Paid travel to our Woodlands office three times a week is required.
