Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-In Direct Care Staff to support individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a residential setting. This role involves providing assistance with daily living activities, ensuring a safe environment, and fostering personal growth and independence.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
Administer medications and follow individualized care plans.
Engage clients in activities that enhance social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Monitor and report changes in behavior, health, or needs.
Implement and document daily care routines, progress notes, and incident reports.
Work collaboratively with families, supervisors, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Experience working with individuals with IDD is a plus.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility needs.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Must pass background checks
