Must have experienced in both fields Medical Assistant and Front Desk Coordinator (Primely Medical Assistant)

Position is Full-time with benefits- after 90 day probation period - health/vision/dental/401K, paid vacation, sick time, standard Holidays. We offer competitive pay based on experience.

3+ Years Work Experience. Must be a fast learner, self starter, reliable, MULTI-TASKER and honest.

Bilingual - Fluent in SPANISH is a PLUS.

Medical Assistant Job Description/Duties:

Welcomes patients by greeting them, in person or the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.

Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, reviewing and/or recording medical history, refill medications, taking vital signs, confirming purpose of visit or treatment.

Prepares patients for health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the exam room, providing examination gowns and drapes; helping them position themselves for examination and/or treatment; arranging exam room instruments, supplies and equipment.

Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; drawing blood and preparing laboratory specimens; disposing of contaminated supplies accordingly; sterilizing medical instruments; verifying prescriptions to pharmacy via telephone or electronically.

Educates patients by providing medication, diet and exercise information and instructions; answering questions.

Completes records by recording patient examination, treatment and test results.

Keeps supplies inventory up-to-date; placing orders and verifying receipt.

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.

Serves and protects the physician or health care provider practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state and local requirements.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Enhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Front Office Assistant Job Description/Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling myriad administrative duties in both the front and back of the office, including :

Answer multi-line phone

Make appointments

Greet patients when they arrive at the office and provide them with any necessary paperwork or other information

Collect co-pays and other fees required prior to the office visit or treatment

Direct patients to the lab area for scheduled blood work and other testing

Verify insurance coverage and assist the billing department with processing claims

Schedule appointments and confirm appointments two days in advance

Assist patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues

Organizing, scanning and linking medical records

Coordinating clinic calendar with nurses and insurance department

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.

High school diploma/GED required, Associates degree is a plus

2+ years’ administrative experience in a medical setting

Professional and courteous disposition

Excellent communication and time management skills
