Billing Specialist (MUST HAVE TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE)

North Cypress EMS, under new management, is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team in the Cypress, TX (Houston area). We offer a great culture and are looking for a dedicated professional with at least 2 years of billing experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform claim status checks as needed to ensure proper resolution
Initiate contact with insurance providers when necessary
Review and process claim rejections and appeals for research and resolution
Monitor payment discrepancies and manage payment processing
Ensure claims meet all Federal compliance requirements
Process incoming correspondence and handle phone calls specific to payer types
Verify patient insurance and ensure accuracy of demographic information
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of billing experience required
Previous Medicaid billing experience preferred
Proficiency in Google, MS Office Suite, or related software
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with coworkers and patients
Punctuality and a strong attendance record
Ability to meet productivity goals and adhere to company guidelines, including dress code and policies
Excellent interpersonal skills and time management
Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
