HR & Payroll Specialist – Houston, TX

you’ll support HR and payroll operations across multiple U.S. and Canadian branches,
assist with employee benefits, and ensure workplace safety compliance. This is a full-

Full-time, in-office position, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Administration
Process and verify payroll for multiple U.S. and Canadian branches.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support employee benefits administration and communicate healthcare and
benefits updates to staff.
Safety & Compliance
Coordinate safety programs for new and current employees across all branches.
Manage employee safety certifications through third-party providers and ensure
OSHA compliance.
Deliver and maintain internal safety training programs, including forklift training.
Serve as the primary contact for internal safety incidents, reporting, and
investigations.
Training & Branch Support
Organize and facilitate required safety training for all locations.
Assist branches with HR, safety, and compliance documentation and processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related
field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role.
Hands-on experience processing payroll for multi-location or multi-branch
environments.
Strong understanding of employee benefits and experience communicating
benefit information to employees.
Working knowledge of HR policies, employment regulations, and general HR
best practices.
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
(Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple
priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Paychex or ADP payroll systems.
Prior HR or payroll experience in a multi-branch or industrial/construction-related
environment.
Knowledge of safety compliance requirements, including OSHA standards.
HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR (a plus but not required).
