Join Our Team as a Day Porter!
GSI America is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This position plays a vital role in keeping exterior areas safe, clean, and welcoming throughout the day.
Job Responsibilities:
Inspect the building perimeter, sidewalks, loading docks, smoking areas, and parking lots for trash
Maintain exterior areas at street level, including doors, frames, metalwork, and windows
Blow leaves and debris from entrances, patios, and sidewalks (early mornings)
Clean dumpster area and secure gates
Water flower pots before end of shift
Clean chiller/cooling tower yards
Check and clear drains in parking lots and roofs
Keep mechanical and electrical rooms clean
Sweep exterior loading dock area
Empty and clean cigarette urns; replace sand as needed
Remove gum and debris from sidewalks and other areas
Report plumbing or mechanical issues to management immediately
Remove cobwebs from canopies and building entrances
Clean sidewalks and building exteriors for algae
Assist Building Engineers when needed
Respond to emergency calls from management
Perform other duties as assigned by Property Manager or management staff
Requirements:
No experience required – we provide training!
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Reliable transportation to/from work
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Attention to detail and strong work ethic
