LJA Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Roofer to join our dynamic team. This role involves engaging in various roofing projects, performing hands-on tasks, and delivering top-quality results. Must have experience in roof installation and repair, with a strong understanding of roofing techniques, a dedication to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain various roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, and metal roofs.
Perform caulking and sealing to ensure roofs are watertight.
Assist in remodeling projects involving roofing elements.
Lay tiles as needed for roofing or other construction projects.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on-site.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues requiring repairs or maintenance.
Maintain a clean and organized construction site throughout the project.
Follow instructions from supervisors and assist in project planning as needed.
Requirements:
Experience Required: This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have prior experience in roofing.
Familiarity with caulking, remodeling, tile laying, plumbing, fencing, electrical, maintenance tasks, welding, and construction estimating (advantageous).
Proficient in using hand and power tools commonly used in roofing and construction.
Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols.
Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques relevant to roofing and construction work.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
