The powder packaging equipment operator is responsible for the efficient operation and preventative maintenance of the powder packaging equipment. This individual is expected to conduct themselves in a matter which promotes the continuous improvement of our mission for quality, safety and efficient production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety and quality assurance practices
Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding and packaging
Operate equipment at an efficient level to fulfill production goals and objectives
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions
Contribute to general cleaning and good housekeeping practices throughout the facility
Follow standard operating procedures and complete necessary training elements and competencies.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor, backfill throughout department if needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment
Demonstrate an understanding of powder products, packaging operations, and troubleshooting ability
Establish an understanding of product flows and the relationship between upstream and downstream equipment and processes involved
Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality and efficiency
THIS IS A VERY HANDS ON/ PHYSICALLY DEMANDING POSITION.
50/LB-70LBS ARE CARRIED THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
WAREHOUSE IS DUSTY AND DIRTY
Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing and industrial machine operation experience preferred.
