We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Groundskeeping/Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and help maintain the beauty and functionality of our resort.
Position Summary:
The Groundskeeping/Maintenance Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and operational functionality of our resort. This position is responsible for overseeing and assisting with all landscaping and maintenance activities across the property, ensuring that all outdoor and indoor areas are attractive, safe, and properly maintained. The supervisor will coordinate a team of groundskeepers and maintenance staff to execute daily tasks efficiently and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Grounds Maintenance:
- Turf maintenance, including mowing, edging, and sod laying
- Weed and pest control
- Lawn care: watering, mowing, trimming, and fertilization
- Aeration and turf leveling
- Gardening and flower bed planting and maintenance
- Fertilizer and fungus control
- Storm drain cleaning
- Lawn health inspections
- General groundskeeping
2. Facility and Equipment Maintenance:
- Pool cleaning and maintenance
- Building, appliance, and equipment maintenance
- Irrigation system management
- Equipment maintenance and inspections
3. Environmental and Sanitation Management:
- Pet station attendance
- Valet trash management
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Conduct safety training and lead by example
- Skills and Qualifications:
Skills Desired
- Horticulture, equipment operation and repair, irrigation systems, pool maintenance, and general repair skills
- Team leadership, problem-solving, project management, effective communication, and customer service
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Performance will be based on several quantifiable metrics
Working Conditions:
- Majority of work performed outdoors
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment
- May require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Handling of chemicals for pool maintenance, pest control, and landscaping
- Exposure to moderate to high noise levels from machinery
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $15 to $25 per hour
- Overtime: 1.5 times hourly rate
- Annual Bonus: Based on performance metrics and tenure
- Paid vacation starting at 40 hours per year
- Employment Type: Full-Time W2 Employee
