Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Junior Maintenance Technician to support our affordable housing complexes. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in property maintenance and management. The Junior Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the properties.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical work under supervision.
- Respond to service requests from tenants and management in a timely manner.
- Assist with preparing vacant units for new tenants (e.g., cleaning, minor repairs, and touch-ups).
- Carry out inspections of properties and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, storage rooms, and tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to senior staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing quality service.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in property maintenance (preferred but not required).
