Responsibilities:
Operate metal working machinery such as lathes, drills, grinders, presses, and welding equipment to fabricate metal components or products.
Monitor production processes to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and meet production quotas.
Take corrective actions as necessary to correct any issues on finished products.
Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading materials onto/from production machinery.
Assist in assembling metal components into finished products according to blueprints or instructions. Perform finishing operations such as grinding, polishing, or painting as required.
Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work collaboratively with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals and resolve any issues that arise.
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat, steel toe boots/shoes, safety glasses, gloves and ear plugs. Follow safe lifting techniques and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
