We are seeking a reliable and motivated Janitorial Floater to join our team in the Houston South East Areas (Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Pearland). As a Janitorial Floater, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in a variety of facilities on an as-needed basis. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to different environments and cleaning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing in various locations.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials following safety and environmental protocols.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facilities manager or supervisor promptly.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and tasks as directed, including carpet cleaning, window washing, and high-touch surface disinfecting.
- Adapt to different cleaning procedures and standards based on the specific needs of each location.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked cleaning cart and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow all company policies and safety guidelines while performing duties.
Qualifications:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work at different locations and adapt to varying cleaning requirements and schedules.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (trash) at a time.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation to travel between different sites as required.
Work Environment:
- The position involves working in various indoor environments, including office buildings, schools, and commercial facilities.
- Some tasks may require working evenings or weekends depending on the facility’s schedule.
