Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking Ranch Foreman to manage day-to-day operations on a ranch located in Hockley, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in farm and ranch work, be self-motivated, and capable of managing and prioritizing their own schedule. This is a hands-on role that requires experience with a variety of ranch activities, equipment operation, and occasional construction-related work during slower times on the ranch.
Key Responsibilities:
Livestock Management: Care for and work with cattle, horses, and chickens. Monitor health, feed, and well-being of all animals on the ranch.
Fence Construction & Maintenance: Build, maintain, and repair ranch fencing as needed.
Farm Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tractors, mowers, chainsaws, and other farm equipment and tools.
Gardening: Plant, manage, maintain, and harvest a large garden to support ranch operations.
Land Maintenance: Mow fields, clear brush, and maintain property grounds.
Construction Support: Assist with various construction-related tasks during slower periods on the ranch.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in ranch and farm operations.
Familiarity with handling and caring for livestock.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm equipment.
Experience in gardening and crop management.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
Trustworthy, dependable, and self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
Must be able to speak at least some English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Basic construction skills are a plus.
