Ambassadors work daily from 7 AM to 11 PM to achieve the District’s goal of making Downtown Houston a desirable place to live, work and visit. This highly visible team of maintenance professionals provides daily services to maintain the cleanliness of the district. Some of their contributions include:
Keeping over 1,100 block-face sidewalks (285 city blocks) plus planter beds, tree-wells and pavers continually free from rubbish, trash, debris, stains, grime and weeds.
Removing graffiti within four (4) business hours after notification.
Keeping amenities and outdoor furniture (trash receptacles, benches, bike racks, drinking fountains etc.) free from soils, stains, trash, graffiti etc.
Tending to landscaping and watering areas that are currently non-irrigated by utilizing the District’s watering trailer.
Keeping District provided Port-a-cans clean and free from debris and graffiti.
