ExactMats.com (Est. 1997), a fast-growing manufacturing / eCommerce company in Houston, Texas, is looking to hire a full-time (non-seasonal) Warehouse Assistant.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for assisting with production preparation, this role has a heavy focus on shipping, packaging, and other critical warehouse-based tasks. This role works with and around heavy machinery.
- Type: Non-seasonal contract (with potential for contract-to-hire).
- Hours: 32-40 hours/week - we are open Monday-Friday.
Packaging & Shipping:
Quality Control, Box Preparation, Order & Packaging Labeling, Packaging Orders, Barcode Scanning, Shipping Label Creation and Purchasing, Transporting Packages to Various Stations within Warehouse, etc.
Order Creation Prep & CNC Table Prep:
Quality Control, Preparing Material on Table For Production, Preparing Table Vacuum, Labeling and/or Placing Packing Slips on Each Order, Transporting Packages to Various Stations within Warehouse, Table & Scrap Clean Up/Prep For Next Table, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 18+ years old
- Great communication (verbal, written, etc.)
- Generally computer literate/up to date
- Able to lift 50+ lbs (with use of forklift from certified tech, or assistance from another employee)
-Ability to work specific hours & maintain a reliable schedule
- Dependable, flexible, and punctual, and organized
- Reliable transportation to the Galleria area (see our website’s footer for exact address)
- Ability to pass background check
Additionally, experience in the following is a plus:
- Bulk shipping, packaging, and receiving experience
- Prior experience with CNC / heavy machinery/ AutoCAD
- Fork lift & pallet jack experience and/or certification
- Bilingual
