Job Summary
As a warehouse technician, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling various types of fences according to design specifications and quality standards. You will work with a range of materials, including wood, metal, and vinyl, to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing fencing solutions. Also, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Order pulling: One of the main responsibilities is pulling and fulfilling orders for gate/fences for everyday jobs.
Inventory management: Receiving, unloading, and recording inventory. This includes maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring inventory is in compliance with standards.
Warehouse organization: Ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized.
Warehouse equipment: Associates also operate forklifts, warehouse trucks and other warehouse equipment.
Installation Support: Assist with the installation of fences as needed, including positioning, aligning, and securing components out in the field as needed.
Communication: Collaborate with project managers, installers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and requirements are met. Provide updates on progress and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.
Skills: Proficient in the use of fabrication tools and machinery, including welding equipment, saws, and grinders. Strong attention to detail and precision in work. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork and safety.
Language: Bilingual – Spanish/English
Background: Candidate must pass a drug screening and background check.
