Service Technician/Representative
As a Field Service Technician, your role revolves around diagnosing and rectifying various issues with existing windows, such as shattered glass, damaged frames, hardware malfunctions, or leaks. Your tasks may entail part replacements, mechanism adjustments, or window resealing to reinstate their functionality and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Replace glass in windows or doors, install window screens, and handle window or door sash and hardware.
Follow a Monday to Friday work schedule starting from 7:00 am, with hours extending based on workload (40 plus hours per week).
Utilize a company-provided vehicle equipped with necessary tools to reach repair locations; drive time is compensated.
Technical Proficiencies:
Familiarity with diverse window types, including single-hung, double-hung, casement, and sliding windows.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot window-related issues effectively.
Proficient use of hand and power tools for repair and installation tasks.
Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to engage with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License
Previous experience in windows and/or doors (product knowledge).
Capability to lift 75-100 pounds comfortably.
Proficiency in working from ladders, potentially up to 40 feet, particularly in scenarios like repairing beach house windows, often requiring a two-person crew.
