The Law Offices of Hector J. Lopez, PLLC is seeking an Immigration Attorney to work at its Houston office to perform the following:
Prepare and attend interviews at the USCIS, represent cases in immigration Court, Detainees, Parole, Bond hearings. Broad expertise on Asylum laws, both, affirmative and Defensively. Credible Fear interviews and redeterminations before the IJ.
Perform legal research as needed. Prepare and file immigration petitions. Preferred experience with Asylum, U Visas, I-601A Waivers, Consular/NVC Process. Business immigration knowledge is a plus (PERMS, H-1B's, L-1, E-2, O-1 and NIW's). Great drafting skills, client communications management skills, work independently and interact with government officials to move cases forward.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
MUST BE ADMITTED IN TEXAS OR ANY U.S. STATE. MUST SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH. The ideal candidate must be able to manage complex tasks efficiently; prioritize work load in an extremely time-sensitive field of law; meet strict deadlines; be highly detail-oriented and have the ability to edit carefully; provide outstanding client service; flexible and adaptable to fast-paced setting; organized; self-motivated with strong initiative; possess a positive attitude and a professional demeanor.
Knowledge required: Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have excellent written communication skills.

Competitive Compensation: $85K - $120K DOE
