The Position
Qualifications
Must have a bachelor's degree
Must have at least 2+ years' experience in a law firm or legal department setting
Must have prior experience with litigation processes and experience with calendaring; e filing experience is helpful
Familiarity with State and Federal court procedures and rules
Must be able to think analytically, take direction well, and work independently
Ability to coordinate meetings, travel, expense reimbursements, input time, and transcribe dictation
Extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize a heavy workload
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with databases and data entry
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Prepare legal filings: format documents, pull exhibits, proofread and redact documents
E-file court filings
Prepare court forms such as summons and subpoenas
Become familiar with court rules and filing procedures
Coordinate meetings and travel
Manage bills for third party vendors, process check requests and follow up with accounting
Document management and organization, saving to network, indexing for file room
Other duties as assigned
Schedule conferences and depositions, maintain attorney calendars
