Rush Autoworks, Houston's own race car manufacturer, is looking for someone to join our sub-assembly team. An awesome opportunity for you if you are a racing or car enthusiast.
This role is for an assembly tech, with a focus on sub-assemblies like suspension components, steering, drivetrain, etc. We are looking for someone excited to work with racecars, with attention to details and good problem solving skills. They'll be working with the production team to complete cars at a steady pace, building individual assemblies to supply the production line. Other aspects of the position include helping to maintain cars at the race track and servicing vehicles brought to the shop.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the role are:
assembling mechanical components to spec and in a timely manor
checking assemblies for correctness and completeness
assisting with full car assembly on the production line
assisting with troubleshooting and maintaining race cars
maintain and service cars
maintaining a clean work area
willing to work overtime as required
Good skills to have include:
working with wrenches, screwdrivers, allen keys, etc
using power tools such as drills, impact drivers, etc
using torque wrenches
understanding blueprints and assembly drawings
remaining composed when under time pressure, such as at a race track
Availability for occasional travel to race tracks is highly preferable.
The position is a full time job, 8-5 standard working hours, with availability for some weekends.
