Responsibilities:
Refurbishing and maintenance of surgical instruments
Minor repair and refinishing of surgical instruments
Operating anodizing equipment
Operating sandblaster
Operating Tungsten Carbide coating machine
Required Skills and Education:
1. Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
2. Some craft experiences such as jewelry making, metalsmithing, making models, etc.
3. High School Graduate (minimum) (trade school graduates also welcome)
4. A basic understanding of optics (so you won’t burn your eyes on laser beams and or damage equipment)
5. A basic understanding of Inorganic Chemistry (so you can safely operate with various manufacturing acid solutions, solvents, and polishing compounds)
6. A basic understanding of electricity (so you can safely operate open voltage equipment for anodizing, tungsten carbide coatings, etc.)
7. A basic understanding of safety procedures concerning power tools, machinery, and manufacturing equipment
8. An ability to understand and follow the written instructions
