Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Screen Printing Operator to join our team. As a Screen Printing Operator, you will operate and maintain screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on various materials. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in screen printing, strong attention to detail, and be familiar with the entire screen printing process. This hands-on role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. We are willing to train the right candidate who may not fully meet all of our experience requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain automatic screen printing equipment, including exposure unit and dryer.
- Prepare screens by coating them with emulsion, exposing them to UV light, and washing out the design.
- Mix and prepare inks according to color specifications and print requirements.
- Load and align materials onto the printing equipment.
- Adjust and fine-tune printing parameters, such as pressure, speed, and registration, to ensure accurate and consistent prints.
- Monitor and inspect prints for quality, making necessary adjustments and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate reproduction of artwork and color matching.
- Follow production schedules and meet deadlines to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Maintain inventory of necessary supplies, such as screens, inks, and cleaning agents.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Screen Printing Operator in a professional setting.
- Extensive knowledge of screen printing techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Proficient in color matching and ink mixing.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent print quality.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with various textile substrates.
- Knowledge of different ink types and their applications.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications and production orders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
