POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Warehouse Associate’s responsibility is to track shipments and receive, process, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and products. The Warehouse Associate will move materials and/or other items from receiving to production, storage, or other designated areas by hand, forklift, crane, etc.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for shipping and receiving, unloading trucks with a forklift or crane, checking in material, opening bales, crates, and other containers, matching purchase orders to vendor receipts and/or packing slips.

Accurately stock material physically and electronically into proper warehouse bins or racks/shelves.

Read and accurately transact customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for vendor and customer traffic.

Assist in routine cycle counting of inventory which entails weighing and counting items to ensure conformance to company standards.

Record transactional amounts of materials or items received issued via appropriate ERP & Warehouse Management Systems transaction.

Ability to review MTR’s and maintain traceability on required material.

Perform 5S activities as assigned.

Sweep, dust, mop, and always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.

Document Purchase Orders or Work Orders, Part Numbers, and Projects on all incoming/ outgoing items.

Job requires intense interaction with companies’ ERP & Warehouse Management Systems.

Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB SKILLS:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to drive forklift.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Basic computer skills required.

High School diploma

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of related factory experience and/or training

5+ years of ERP experience

5+ years of experience utilizing Forklifts (15,000lbs or more) to move large industrial equipment, pipes ranging in difference lengths and diameters, etc.

5+ years of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Outlook for emails.

2+ years of Inventory Control

Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal

Previous experience operating a forklift.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work performed in a shop environment.

Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness.

Physical effort equals frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.

Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

The use of Safety Glasses is required.

The use of earplugs is recommended.

Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with 30-minute lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.

Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility
