Full Job Description

Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and repair of A/V and security infrastructure within a low-voltage environment. The ideal candidate will possess the physical capability to meet the demands of the work environment, while also providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Job Functions:

Install A/V and security equipment in accordance with provided plans specific to each application.

Maintain a professional demeanor, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Install, mount, rack, and rig equipment according to plans and specifications.

Read and interpret manuals, construction drawings, wiring diagrams, floorplans, and specifications.

Properly set up a variety of testers (fiber and copper).

Perform system testing and troubleshooting as required.

Terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot optical fiber and copper installations.

Correctly mount faceplates and surface-mount boxes.

Construct closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and hardware.

Responsible for meeting deadlines and managing materials and tools.

Complete daily timesheets and job documentation.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Job Skills:

Ability to lift heavy objects and work on construction sites.

Proficiency with hand tools, including screwdrivers (Phillips and standard), drywall saws, torpedo levels, tape measures, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammers, wrench sets, cable strippers, flashlights, and gloves.

Punctuality and dependability.

Effective communication skills.

Ability to distinguish color codes.

Preferred: 1+ years of experience in construction, cabling, A/V, or physical security.

Positive attitude.

Solid team player.

High attention to detail.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to work in both construction sites and office settings.

Education, Certification, License

High School Diploma/ GED equivalency

Lift heavy equipment more than 20+ pounds at time

Differentiate color/ color codes

(Reliable transportation to and from jobsite is necessary, a Truck/ van is not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Experience: 1-2 Years (Required)

Cable installation: 1 year (Required)

Work Location: On site location
