Role Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level Employee Benefits Sales Representative to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a licensed insurance professional looking to build a career in employee benefits sales. The role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive, and willingness to prospect aggressively.
As part of Stonebridge Partners, you’ll work remotely with flexible scheduling, focusing on the Greater Houston area (with opportunities in other states on a case-by-case basis). You’ll play a direct role in helping small businesses secure quality benefits packages for their employees.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively source new business through cold calls, door-to-door outreach, and online sales initiatives.
Sales & Client Development: Present and sell medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefit plans to small business owners (5–75 employees).
Relationship Building: Build trust with clients by offering personalized solutions and demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs.
Pipeline Management: Track leads, opportunities, and follow-ups in an organized manner to consistently grow revenue.
Market Focus: Primarily target the Greater Houston area while maintaining flexibility to expand into other states as needed.
Adaptability: Thrive in a small business environment with limited resources, where creativity and persistence are key to success.
Qualifications
Required: Active insurance license (Health & Life).
1+ year of relevant industry experience (employee benefits, insurance sales, or related).
Proven ability to handle rejection, stay motivated, and push through challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
Comfortable making cold calls, knocking on doors, and using online channels to generate business.
