Role Summary / Objective
The IT Support Assistant at Overnite Software Inc., will be providing support for company employees, application software, and peripherals including printers, scanners, etc. Working closely with the IT Manager and senior staff, the IT Support Assistant will aid in maintaining the technical functionality and efficiency of the company's computers, servers and network infrastructure. Other areas of responsibility may include hardware and software inventory tracking, maintaining helpdesk tickets, documentation of processes and procedures, and assisting with new hardware and software deployments.
Key Responsibilities
This role includes, but is not limited to-
Provide support to employees for computers, applications and peripherals (including network printers and scanners).
Aid in maintaining functionality and efficiency of company resources (including computers, servers and network infrastructure).
Track inventory of both hardware and software
Maintain helpdesk tickets
Assist with new hardware and software deployments (including networks)
Document processes and procedures
All other duties assigned by your supervisor
Skills & Proficiencies:
Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and general network security
Ability to learn new software applications

He or she will comply with the ergonomic standards as set forth in the company training. The employee may occasionally be required to climb ladders of up to 7ft. and lift / move up to 50 pounds.
