This Senior SAP Functional Analyst will act almost as a Solution Architect and will be the 'go-to' resource for all things SAP. They will work in all SAP Modules (SD, MM, PM, FI) to identify, analyze, interpret, test/validate, and document complex business process requirements, issues, and projects, as well as configure solutions and provide needed data and support. They will write Functional Specifications for ABAP and other appropriate solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES: Accountable for performing analysis and requirements gathering of an issue or business request, while understanding business processes from a customer or end user perspective, and act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team. Accountable for translating the business request/requirements into functional and technical specifications to design, build and/or enhance an overall solution that is scalable and adheres to the requirements, and is consistent across various business units and SAP modules. Responsible for configuration, coordinating developments, providing technical support, preparing unit test plan, test scripts, creating test data, testing, and deploying quality work products, and performing go-live and postproduction support. Participate and collaborate with management, developers, team members, end users, vendors and others as needed, to achieve and maintain desired results. Coordinate and maintain change control and testing processes, and drive system, project, or enhancement adoption. Handle Master Data and Transactional Data Integration from a non-SAP system to SAP and vice versa. Adapt to changing situations, handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly. Work independently and/or in a team environment, effectively interacting with others with a positive attitude. Estimate work efforts & projects in a timely manner, prioritize workload, and articulate scope, scope creep, risks, and estimates with manager, keeping manager informed as soon as timelines start to slip. Keep current communications with manager of any changes or questions of priorities or estimates. Actively participate as a mentor/SME/resource for the internal team and provide input into deliverables as appropriate. Provide planned and/or ad-hoc training and user and/or internal team member support as required, which may include preparing training documentation.REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 10 years' experience as an SAP Functional Analyst in ECC 6.0 or later. Strong Functional knowledge and experience with SD, preferred knowledge and experience in MM, PM, FI primary applications, tables, and basic configuration options. Ability to quickly grasp and apply ideas, methods, technologies, and solutions in a time-critical and fast-paced environment. Must possess strong and proven analytical skills, critical reasoning skills, and conceptual/problem solving skills. Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a can-do attitude - adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness. Excellent interpersonal skills, including but not limited to effective written and oral communications. Strong knowledge of SAP Best Practices.PREFERRED: Primary or main experience with SD but configuration knowledge and experience with MM, PM, and FI primary applications, tables, and basic configuration options is a huge plus. Workflow training and experience with the Workflow Builder, creating custom events, and enhancing SAP Business Objects. Business experience within Oil & Gas. Experience with IS-OIL and/or OGSD component of IS-OIL. Experience with SAP Security concepts. Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. SAP Certifications in SD, and/or MM, PM, and PP.
