We are seeking a talented CNC Lathe Machinist to operate and maintain our advanced Haas CNC lathes, specifically those equipped with Y-axis capabilities in the Northwest Houston area. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up, programming, and troubleshooting CNC lathes to produce high-quality, precision parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Configure Haas CNC lathes, including tool and fixture installation, and calibrate machine settings for accurate operation.
Interpret blueprints and other technical drawings to determine machining operation.
Develop and input CNC programs, utilizing Haas Y-axis functionality to perform complex machining tasks. Monitor and adjust machine parameters as necessary.
Conduct detailed inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances. Implement corrective actions as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC lathes and troubleshoot any mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime.
Document work performed including dimensions, tolerances, materials used, accurately and legibly.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes, with proven expertise in Haas machines equipped with Y-axis capabilities.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of safety and standard machining practices.
Ability to proficiently read; Measuring Tapes, Micrometers and Calipers.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve mechanical and programming issues efficiently.
Relevant technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plus.
