Large company specializing in hauling various materials with large trucks seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join the team and work on our fleet of vehicles. As our employee, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines/heavy trucks to ensure safe, efficient operation and keep the fleet in-service on a consistent basis. This position is for experienced candidates who will be both appreciated and rewarded for their skillful dedication to the job!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Repair and maintain company fleet of Class 8 size trucks
· Primary focus is ensuring vehicles are available and reliable for company staff on a daily basis
· Strong diagnostic skills for diesel applications necessary for success
· Repair and replace worn or damaged components such as engine parts, transmissions, brakes, steering and electrical systems
· Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify problems and necessary repairs or replacements
· Perform all routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements and fluid checks on our vehicle fleet
REQUIREMENTS:
· ASE Diesel certifications A1, A2 and T2 preferred but not required
· Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment for both mechanical and computer systems
· Minimum of 5 years experience as a diesel mechanic/technician, preferably in a heavy truck or fleet maintenance environment
· Valid, current Drivers License and clean driving record
