We are looking to fill a position located in the city of South Houston.

Starting pay of $20-$25 (STARTING WAGE IS BASED STRICTLY ON EXPERIENCE) with benefits, 401K and PTO available.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

To be responsible, under the direction of the General Manager or Sales Director, for the overall maintenance of the physical property, and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance of our facility. Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1) Perform light maintenance on light fixtures, office furniture, etc.

2) Perform basic electrical repairs, plumbing work, and carpentry work.

3) Perform custodial work as needed for warehouse and shop environments.

4) Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, facility requests, and inventories.

5) Basic HVAC, trouble shooting, filter changes, etc.

Education:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1) High school education or equivalent.

2) Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training in some or all of the areas:

1) Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, refurbishing, cleaning, & minor a/c repairs.

2) Ability to read & interpret documents, basic math ability & reasoning ability. Pre-employment drug testing and background check required.

3) Have reliable transportation and valid auto insurance

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to lift 45 pounds, open cabinets, doors, windows and bend or stand on a stool or ladder as necessary. Ability to work in disagreeable conditions, both outside and inside, for extended periods of time.
