Job Description
This is a critical, high-impact role where your primary function is to serve as the Owner’s eyes and ears—ensuring every project is executed with uncompromising efficiency and financial discipline. This is a full-time on-site Independent Contractor (1099) position for a Field Coordinator located in Conroe, TX. The Field Coordinator will oversee and coordinate construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring work progress on job sites, managing schedules, liaising with contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and addressing any on-site challenges or project adjustments. The Field Coordinator will also maintain clear and timely communication between ownership.
Position & Compensation
Role: Field Coordinator / Logistics & Planning Specialist (1099 Independent Contractor)
Compensation: $1000 - $1300 per week (Flat Fee) + performance bonuses subject to ownership approval.
What This Role Demands
Proficient Construction Skills: The company will not provide training on construction methods or skills, as the Contractor is expected to be proficient already
Proactive Logistics: Develop, maintain, and enforce a 1-Day, 3-Day, and 1-Week Look-Ahead Schedule across all projects. This includes coordinating and ensuring all materials, equipment, and trailers are delivered and staged before work commences (not as a last-minute reaction).
Field Leadership: Utilize experience to direct and manage seasoned craftsmen and crews. Enforce adherence to the schedule and prevent costly delays or inefficiencies stemming from poor coordination or lack of productivity.
Administrative Rigor: Ensuring timely, detailed documentation (daily reports, photos, cost updates) to keep the office synchronized with the field.
Cost Control Support: Solicit, negotiate, and document hard cost bids from subcontractors for defined scopes (e.g., painting, fencing, change orders). Present organized cost data to the Owner for final margin and contract approval.
Logistics Facilitation: Execute and manage site logistics, including dump runs, trailer moves, and critical material pickups, ensuring craftsmen remain focused on high-value, skilled work.
Quality & Risk Mitigation: Enforce high-quality standards, manage customer expectations, and drive risk mitigation on-site.
Preferred Bilingual Communication: Leveraging fluency in English and Spanish to seamlessly coordinate with all site personnel and trades.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in construction supervision, site coordination
Fluent/Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple residential projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to assertively lead and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and high-level craftsmen.
Proficiency with modern project management/reporting software or ability to quickly learn
