Heavy equipment mechanic/operator

Part time- full time work.

Possible chance of operating heavy equipment if you're a good mechanic. Don't apply if you don't want to be a mechanic.

Shop is in Willis.

I have nearly every tool needed but prefer you have most of your own tools.

Examples of tasks:

-Hydraulic leaks in hard to reach dirty equipment

- oil changes and routine maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment

- trailer wiring, brakes, bearings

- miscellaneous welding tasks

- jobsite repairs sometimes

Requirements:

- must have your own reliable transportation. Not shared vehicles or getting dropped off and picked up. Must be ready and willing to use UB3R or lift in the event of car trouble.

- show up when you're supposed to.

- finish tasks that you start.

- put my tools back clean and where they go. Clean up your mess. I'm not cleaning up after you.

- must be able to work independently without assistance.

- must be able to identify priority tasks and line yourself out with work.

- no druggies or drinking before or while working. You will be drug tested randomly for everything except thc.

Pay depends on what you're worth.

1099 or cash if available.

Shop pay will be hourly. Operator pay will be $350- $400 a day the first year and $500 a day after 1 year. Operator training pay is $200 a day. If you're good that shouldn't be more than a week.

Operator pay is per day/job completed.

One operator day rate/day job completed ($350-400) includes:

- transport equipment to and from jobsite.

Jobsites are 5 minutes to 2 hours from shop. Most average 1hr away.

- daily maintenance on machine, truck and trailer.

1hr or less if you're efficient.

- run machine for 8 hours on jobsite

Operators are responsible for operator error damages. You are never required to take risks.
