Experienced MIG and TIG Welder

We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and motivated MIG and TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in welding with a passion for their craft. This individual should possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong owner-attitude, with a genuine desire to come to work each day and contribute to the growth and success of the team. The Mig/Tig I Welder interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. Being a Mig/Tig I Welder is familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. In addition, Mig/Tig Welder I may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in an area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Mig/Tig Welder I gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Working as a Mig/Tig Welder I typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or an associate degree, or additional training, or certification.

Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to assemble and fabricate metal components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance through proper adjustment of settings.

Conduct thorough inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and project specifications.

Collaborate effectively with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Maintain welding equipment, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues as needed to prevent downtime.

Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Document work processes, including materials used, time spent, and any challenges encountered.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints,

Own Welding Hood.

Welding steel trailers in various positions.

Lifting, moving, and holding or clamping work pieces to table, into jigs, or into position as directed manually or by using pry bar.

Utilize Arc Welding Process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode.

Tig and Mig welding skills required, a must.

Must have at least 3 years welding experience.

Must have longevity in the workforce, if you are a job hopper, no need to apply for this position.

Must be able to steep, bend, push, pull, and lift steel sheets.

Individuals will be responsible for welding metal components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

Must be able to complete your own quality checks to avoid overheating of parts.

Moving work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck.

Examine pieces for defects and measure for accuracy and fit.

Utilize Stringer Technique with Single Passes on Carbon Steel.

Meeting daily production goals.

Requirements:

Always Drug free, take & Pass 16-panel Drug Screen, Better Business Staffing LLC., dba BBS., will conduct a random drug test when employed by the Client.

Will be initially interviewed by a Senior Recruiter, a second interview in person with the Owner of Better Business Staffing, then with the Client, in other words an intensive interview process.

Must have experience, which means “I am a fast learner”, does not qualify you to apply for this position.

Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications required.

Have reliable transportation, this does not qualify taking the Metro system, nor must rely on someone to bring and pick them up, must have their own, (POV), private owned vehicle.

Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation.

3 years of experience as a TIG/ MIG Welder.

Physically fit and dexterous.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to outside in the heat/cold elements.

Must be a U. S. Citizen.

Bilingual is a plus.

Must have an entrepreneurial attitude.

Schedule will depend on Client.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening test, absolutely no felonies accepted and must have been cleared for the past 7 years. If you are not able to pass this, please do not bother to apply.

The pay rate depends on experience, (DOE), to include possible overtime.

Must have excellent measuring and math skills.
