Location: Texas (field-based with daily travel to residential job sites)
Southland Pools & Screens is hiring an Installation Crew Lead to oversee and participate in the construction of screen enclosures, patio covers, and other aluminum outdoor living structures.
This position is ideal for a skilled aluminum installer who is ready to take the lead on job sites, direct 2–3 crew members, and ensure quality installation work is completed on time and to spec. You will work directly on builds each day while managing your team, organizing materials, and communicating with the office.
Responsibilities
Work as the lead installer on residential construction jobs
Install aluminum structures including screen enclosures, patio covers, soffits, and bracing systems
Assemble roof and wall bays, install doors, screen panels, anchors, caulking, and perform project punch out
Coordinate with the Cut/Fab team on material deliveries and layout
Set up jobsite each morning, review plans, and organize labeled materials
Direct and support installers and general laborers on-site tasks
Submit daily job updates, track hours, and report issues to the Project Manager
Use company truck and trailer to return unused materials or tools as needed
Ensure all installations are completed according to engineering details and company standards
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on aluminum installation or general framing/construction experience
1+ year leading or mentoring team members on a construction crew
Ability to read construction plans and perform accurate, quality installations
Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and motivated to keep the crew on schedule
Experience hauling trailers and transporting materials
Comfortable with daily travel to various job sites across Texas
Must supply basic hand tools (drill, tape, hand tools); company supplies major equipment
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8 hours per day)
30-minute unpaid lunch
Overtime Available
Occasional Saturdays required during weather delays or project deadlines
Compensation
$30.00 to $35.00 per hour based on experience
Weekly pay
Overtime eligible (non-exempt position)
Project Bonuses Based on Production Rates and Labor Budget
