Lewis Ace Automotive is a well-established, growing automotive service center known for high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic and Mechanic Helper position to join our team. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing to identify mechanical issues in vehicles.
- Conduct vehicle repairs including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
- Accurately document repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining repair needs and options clearly to customers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from an accredited technical school (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic.
- Mechanic must have own tools.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and mechanical components.
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- ASE certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work in various positions including lying down, standing, and bending.
