We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Plaster Repairs Division. Are you someone that enjoys art, likes to paint, and are looking for an opportunity to mix your passion for color and get paid for it, we would like to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Apply coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings
Smooth out imperfections with trowels and other tools
Create decorative textures in finishing coats
Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
Repair cracks and holes in existing plasterwork
Be on time (8:30am start time) and consistent with attendance
Be consistent on quality of technique
Be respectful to and communicate well with your team, have a positive work attitude
Respect your work area, client’s home, supplies
Learn new techniques
Clean and prepare surfaces for applications
Receive constructive criticism well
Must be able to climb and be on scaffolds (up to 20ft)
Must be able to work on ladder (4ft-10ft)
Must be able to lift/ carry50lbs
Must have a steady brush hand
Must be able to work in a sitting down, kneeling down or standing position.
Must be able to drive to and from work
Due to construction environment some dust is inevitable on some jobs, must be able to work under these conditions.
Qualifications:
Driver’s license (required)
1-3 years of plaster/drywall experience preferred
1-3 years of painting experience (residential and/or commercial) preferred, not required.
Experience mixing colors
Experience staining and touching up
