Job description
Candidates will need to interview, pass a measurement test, own a bluebook and pipe calculator and must know how to do takeoffs.
Pre-employment screening will be done, this includes an E-Verify, a drug screen and a criminal background check for the last 7-10 years.
Responsibilities
Prepare and set up appropriate tools and equipment needed to fit up assemblies as shown on the contract drawings.
Ensure that custom made fit up gears (i.e., shims, clamps, pull/push bars, etc.) are maintained and properly stored or kept.
Can appropriately complete takeoffs
Maintain good housekeeping in his work of responsibility.
Take good care of equipment from welding machines to turning rolls etc.
Double-check the parts or components to be assembled.
Check completed work prior to final welding to ensure conformity to drawings and procedures.
Communicate with the welding lead in all aspects and phases (safety, productivity, and quality) of work.
Always achieve high production with superior quality output.
Work and always think safety.
Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb.
Capability of lifting up to 75 lbs. on a regular basic
High Level of manual dexterity
Good mechanical aptitude
Ability to distinguish various colors / color coding.
Ability to pass a vision test.
Willing to admit to hearing baseline test.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have at least 3 years’ experience working on pipe spool and/or assorted diameter pipe fittings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour DOE
Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
Day shift - Monday to Friday 6 am-6pm and willing to work on weekends. Saturdays about 10 hours and Sundays about 8 hours.
Night Shift also available
