Responsibilities
Perform precise cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering of wires and cables, following industry standards and specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to assemble cable and wire harness systems accurately.
Utilize various hand tools and equipment to assemble and route wires, cables, connectors, and other components, ensuring proper connections and wire management.
Conduct thorough visual inspections and functional tests to verify the quality and functionality of assembled cable and wire harness systems.
Perform soldering tasks on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using hand tools and power tools.
Assemble electronic components and ensure proper connections through electrical wiring.
Utilize equipment such as ohmmeters and calipers to test and verify the quality of soldered joints.
Work with surface mount technology (SMT) to assemble components on PCBs.
Qualifications
Technical certifications in cable and wire harness assembly are a plus.
Proven experience in cable and wire harness assembly, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools, such as wire cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, and heat guns.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cable and wire harness assembly, including IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters.
Experience with PCB assembly and surface mount technology is preferred.
