Position Announcement: Paint Prep Technician

We are currently seeking to add a PAINT PREP TECHNICIAN to our team.
The successful candidate will:
Work closely with the lead painter & assistant as required to ensure timely production deadlines are met. This Painter Prep position role will include all aspects of preparing multiple sign substrates and components for paint. This includes sanding, filling, setting up, cleaning, and various other tasks required for quality paint production. This role will include prepping various types of material including plastics (acrylic), aluminum, steel, and more.

Valued skills and experience:
Previous experience with HVLP paint, prep and minor body work including fillers and primers a plus.
Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English)
Ability to apply vinyl and paint masks.
Experience interpreting and comprehending all aspects of work orders and drawings.
Experience using a variety of tools including tape measures, sanders, and general safety practices.
Bonus skills and experience:
Knowledge of Sign Industry manufacturing standards a plus
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to work on feet for prolonged periods of time
OT and weekends may be required.
This position is an Evaluation Hire.
This is a full-time, in-house position Monday – Thursday (6am – 4:30pm) and is eligible for benefits after a 90-day review period.
Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
