Gulf Coast Alloy Welding (GCAW) is looking for a reliable, safety-conscious Class B Truck Driver to join our team. This is a local, full-time position driving our stake bed trucks to deliver materials and equipment throughout the greater Houston area.
Position Details
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Based in Houston, TX
Type: Full-Time, W2
Route Type: Local only – home every night
What You’ll Be Doing
Operating stake bed truck
Secure and strap down loads of metal, tools, and fabrication materials
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Make local deliveries to job sites, yards, and vendors
Communicate with dispatch and shop personnel clearly and professionally
Assist with occasional on-site material handling (if needed)
Requirements
Valid Class B CDL
At least 2 years’ experience driving stake bed or similar trucks
Comfortable using straps, chains, and tie-downs
Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
Preferred Skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
Experience working in industrial, construction, or fabrication environments
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and assist with basic loading/unloading tasks
