Position Overview:
With some Experience in the Intermodal/Drayage Transportation Industry.
Know how to enter customer orders and customer information (as billing) information into the computer!
Strong analytical, quick-thinking skills, as well as attention to detail, are a must in this ever evolving and growing industry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize situations in a fast-paced environment (load-planning/dispatching)
· Communicate with drivers to prioritize loads, define routes, and set schedules
· Provide detailed instruction to various personnel via email and phone
· Accept & schedule loads while providing excellent customer service
· Make routing decisions that satisfy customer expectations and company financial decisions
· Ensure that shipping data is entered into the system timely and accurately
· Other duties as assigned
Skills:
· Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethic
· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
· General computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
