Description Our client located in Katy, TX is looking to add a Controller to their team! This is a great opportunity to come into a well-established operation and be able to continue to grow a team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing all accounting operations and reporting activities. You will act as a key player in our finance team, ensuring our financial well-being and maintaining accurate financial reports. This role offers an opportunity to restructure and expand the accounting team to align with the company's evolving needs. Hybrid work schedule with great benefits!Controller Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations - Overseeing the entire month-end process through financial statement preparation

Manage the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports.

Lead the process for bank reporting and annual audit preparations.

Investigate complex accounting issues to ensure compliance.

Support month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring timely production of key financial documents.

Implement quality control over all financial transactions and financial reporting.

Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and tax filings.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Provide guidance and development opportunities for finance team members.

Collaborate with the Director of Operations and management team on critical financial projects.

Optimize business processes in collaboration with executive leadership, sales, and customer success teams.

Manage various accounting types based on projects: percent of complete, completed accounting, and accrual accounting.

At least 5 years in a leadership/Controller capacity

Supervisory - experience building teams and managing people. Someone who can delegate to and empower their employees

Full ownership of the financial close process

Budgeting/forecasting - need to be able to provide data to operations leaders and build rapport

ERP implementation experience
