We are looking for dependable individuals with a valid drivers license that will drive our company vehicle to the job site and perform landscape construction duties that consist of installing flowers, shrubs, turf and trees and non-living elements like irrigation systems and hardscapes such as patios and retaining walls. (Drivers must be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes and have at least 1 year landscape installation experience)
Duties
. Drive company vehicle transporting crews to work area.
. Help create new landscape plantings around the foundation of a home or business.
Landscape work consist of planting shrubs, trees, flower beds, Installing artificial turf and laying sod.
. Help install irrigation systems.
Irrigation consist of installing underground pipe, ground covers, and sprinkler heads.
. Help build retainer walls using concrete blocks.
Rock work consist of building retainer walls, install French drains and building outside living areas (fireplaces, water fountains, patios, etc.)
. Install hardscapes that consists of building concrete, stone and clay segmental pavements.
· Assist crew leads on loading construction equipment needed for trenching or ground leveling.
· Help clean area upon completion of the work.
Requirements
. Proven experience in an outdoor labor-intensive role is preferred.
. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
. Able to communicate and follow instructions from project managers and crew leads.
, Willing to undergo a background check after a condition offer of employment.
. Valid driver's license with clean driving record.(drivers MUST be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes)
Skills / Abilities
. This job requires the repeated and coordinated use of your arms, hands, wrists, and fingers to use handheld tools and manually weed or install plants, trees, etc.
. Demonstrated ability to follow verbal instructions and ideas.
. Physically able to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., potted plants and shrubs).
. The noise level will range from quiet to loud. (If you are working near powered equipment or machinery you will be exposed to loud noises)
. Requires that you stand for long periods of time and may involve heavy manual labor. You will need to be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry items for this job.
. Able to work outdoors for several hours of the day, in all weather conditions.
. Able to work between the hours of 6:45am to 5pm.
We work Monday- Friday (No weekends)
STARTING PAY IS $16.50/HOUR
