Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to calculate dimensions not specified on print
Work with Department Supervisor to develop a machine plan
Capable of operating all machines in the shop (including large mills, lathes, stripping
machine, manual lathe, VTL, tool post grinders, and other equipment)
Work closely and clearly communicates with the other departments, Machine personnel,
Supervisor, and Lead Man
Operate machine to make complex angle cuts and threading where multiple speeds and feeds are required
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Must have experience working with turbo machinery
Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks
Must be able to work overtime when necessary
Must be able to use precision measuring instruments
