Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Lewisville, Texas. The primary function of the role is to collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activity, maintain data pertaining to import supply chains, and assist in the close of the General Ledger. Responsibilities: Analyze and collect data to determine the costs of business activities, including raw material purchases, labor costs, benefits costs, and overhead. Maintain data related to the full import supply chain for finished goods and other imported materials. Analyze changes in product design, materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs and update item costs as needed. Collect direct labor and product development labor information and prepare reports for distribution to relevant management personnel. Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Assist in month-end and year-end close of the General Ledger. Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program. Reconcile all inventories of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods. Handle other assignments and responsibilities as directed by management. Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Standard Cost Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting.If interested, please send your resume to derek.kemp@roberthalf.c0mRequirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a related role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to create and manage Journal Entries Experience in Month End Close procedures Understanding of Standard Cost Accounting and Cost Accounting Familiarity with Inventory Accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to maintaining confidential information CPA certification is a plus but not mandatoryRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
