Fourwide Transportation is currently hiring an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to direct and oversee the financial activities of the organization and all affiliated entities, direct and prepare current financial reports, budget reports, and create forecasts predicting future growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Accounting, bookkepping, budget preparation, audit functions, of all affiliated entities.
Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leads preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, expense reports,
projection reports and budgeting.
Organizes, plans, and reviews month and quarter-end financial closing in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles, including reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
Works with CPA of record for tax return preparation, and other items as requested by CPA.
Reviews and approves submission of all monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to local, state, and federal agencies.
Prepares and compares budgeted to actual expense reports; makes necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
Works with the President and other executives to plan growth strategies and establish priorities and measurable goals.
Manages General Ledger and Chart of Accounts and ensures the department is coding correctly.
Manages all Accounts Payable and Account Receivable including billing, collections, and vendor payments, and expense reports.
Reviewing contracts to ensure billing and accounts receivable reporting is correct.
Performs daily reconciliations of bank accounts for all entities.
Keeps and updated cashflow model projection.
Creates policies and procedures related to purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination in the department.
Performing internal audits involving cash handling and account coding.
Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business Accounting, Finance, or related field. (preferred)
1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to access various departments of a given location.
